Genesis and Rutherford Academies:

School Social Workers LCSW or LPC for the 2019-2020 School Year:

Requirements:

  • Master's Level Social Work

  • Licensed, School SW, Certified School Counselor,  LPC, and/or LCSW 

Responsibilities will Include:

  1. Conduct intake interview and complete all treatment forms and releases.  Discuss child’s social and psycho-social history, identify major strengths and weaknesses of child and family, record information and note all information in resident case history files. 

  2. Collect reports and information from agencies or other professional who previously served child or family. 

  3. Experienced with trauma informed care treatment model

  4. Identify treatment plan, verify data and provide authorized agencies with information as may be required. 

  5. Conduct individual and group therapy counseling with students relative to the broad range of mental health difficulties found in residential treatment abilities, including personal adjustment difficulties, behavior management problems, conduct and self-control difficulties, hyperactivity, school problems, sequel of abuse and/or neglect, phobias, psychosis and neurotic conditions and related mental health issues. 

  6. Complete reports and case notes for administrator or supervisory staff as directed. 

  7. Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings for preparation and follow-up of treatment plans. 

  8. Serve as liaison between agency and reporting agencies (DHS or DYD). 

  9. Serve as liaison with community agencies concerned with children and/or adolescents. 

  10. Conduct family therapy as needed/required. 

  11. Crisis intervention. 

  12. Must be physically able to receive training in physical restraint and CPR/First Aid and use techniques for physical intervention(s) in emergency situations.

Educational Assistants: 2019-2020 School Year:

The Educational Assistant mentors and instructs an assigned student with special needs and behaviors within the classroom setting. Salary $13.00 per hour, 5 days per week, 7 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week.

One year experience working with children, degree preferred, and must be able to pass a finger printing background check and drug screen.

School Bus Monitor, Genesis Academy, Murfreesboro/Smyrna to Nashville for the 2019-2020 School Year:
Genesis Academy is seeking applicants for School Bus Monitor. The school bus route begins each morning in Murfreesboro /Smyrna to Nashville and Nashville to Murfreesboro/Smyrna in the afternoon. 

The applicant must have experience in working with children with special needs. 
Must be able to pass a finger printing background check and drug screen. 
The salary for the position is $11.50/hour, 4 hours guaranteed daily.

Special Education Teachers for the 2019-2020 School Year:

The Special Education Teacher teams with an Associate Teacher Counselor in planning, teaching, developing Individual Education Plans, and classroom behavior management. Must be eligible and certified to teach in Tennessee.

One year of special education classroom experience is preferred. You must be able to pass a fingerprint/background check and drug screen. Salary is based on certification, experience, and degree.

School Bus Monitors for the 2019-2020 School Year

2019-2020 School Year

Rutherford Academy is seeking applicants for School Bus Monitor. The school bus monitor rides with the students on the morning and after routes. 

The applicant must have experience in working with children with special needs. 
Must be able to pass a finger printing background check and drug screen. 
The salary for the position is $11.50/hour, 4 hours guaranteed daily.

Homebound Teachers, Independent Contractors for the 2019-2020 School Year:

Genesis Learning Centers’ Homebound Services is searching for teachers to serve as independent contractors. Flexible schedule (3-30 hours) and case load. $23.00 per hour. Teacher must have a current Tennessee teaching license.
