Secretary: Full Time:

The secretary will assist the Executive Director and Federal Lunch Program, Homebound Services, and Human Resources.

Responsibilities and Duties: Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program, record keeping, Data entry for student and employee databases (RenWeb), Prepare, collect and process new employee paperwork, Maintain employee and homebound student records, Assist with answering phone calls, front desk as needed, Filing, scanning, faxing, copying as needed

Qualifications and Skills: Extensive skills in Microsoft Excel including spreadsheets, forms and formulas, Proficient in data-based record keeping software (RenWeb), Ten key-touch, Must be honest, trustworthy and able to maintain absolute confidentiality, Self-motivated and possess the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently to completion, Comfortable working in an environment with children with special needs, Able to pass a fingerprinting background check and drug screen

Homebound Teachers:

Genesis Learning Centers' Homebound Services Program is looking for Homebound Teachers. This is an independent contracted position. Flexible Schedule, flexible case load, $21.00 per hour. Teachers must be certified by the Tennessee State Department of Education.

Specific Needs: Non-English Fluent, Available During School Hours and/or after school hours, Special Education, Advanced Math and Sciences, Flexible schedule ranging from 3-30 hours per week, depending on number of students

Genesis Academy: 

Special Education Teacher

The Special Education Teacher teams with an Associate Teacher Counselor in planning, teaching, developing Individual Education Plans, and classroom behavior management. Must be eligible for Tennessee Certification in Special Education.

One year of special education classroom experience is preferred. You must be able to pass a fingerprint/background check and drug screen. Salary is based on certification, experience, and degree.

Associate Teacher Counselors

The Associate Teacher Counselor teams with the lead classroom Teacher in planning, teaching, and classroom behavior management. Annual salary is $20,160 during the school year (summers off) plus full benefits.

Related degree is preferred and classroom experience is a plus.  Must be able to pass a fingerprint/background check and drug screen.

Educational Assistants

The Educational Assistant mentors and instructs an assigned student with special needs and behaviors within the classroom setting. Salary $11.50 per hour, 5 days per week, 7 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week.

One year experience working with children, degree preferred, and must be able to pass a finger printing background check and drug screen.


Rutherford Academy:

Educational Assistants

The Educational Assistant mentors and instructs an assigned student with special needs and behaviors within the classroom setting. Salary $11.50 per hour, 5 days per week, 7 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week.

One year experience working with children, degree preferred, and must be able to pass a finger printing background check and drug screen.

Rutherford County Teen Learning Center

School Bus Driver-needs F endorsement or CDL (preferred)

School Bus Driver-The School Bus Driver provides before and after school transportation for the Rutherford County Teen Learning Center. An F endorsement is required or CDL is preferred.

Must be able to pass a DOT physical, fingerprint/background check, and drug screen. Salary is $15.00 per hour with a 5 hour per day guarantee.
