Genesis Learning Centers is a
Tennessee non-profit organization offering special
educational services to children and youth with
distinctive needs, including the following:
· emotional and behavioral disorders
· learning disabilities
· mental retardation
· dual diagnosis (SED/MR)
· developmental delays
· short-term severe illness, physical challenges, or
misconduct
Our educational services are
provided at Genesis Academy in Nashville and Rutherford Academy in
Murfreesboro, where
students receive individualized academic instruction,
mental health treatment, behavioral interventions,
and employment preparation and transition.
This unique organization was created over 20 years ago to serve young people who
experience extremely difficult times in school and/or
home. Our major goal is to offer each student and
their families assistance before problems become so
serious that solutions within the community are
difficult to find and implement. These difficulties
may be related to learning, emotional hardships
and/or behavior problems. Our mission is to give
every young person we touch a positive learning
environment to help them grow and become successful
in school, work and home.

| "We want each person
we touch to know that they are able to learn
new things, that they can control their own
behaviors, and that each is a positive,
capable individual who has the potential to
become a successful, happy family and
community member." Terry Adams,
Co-founder and Executive Director
